A 20-strong party of students and teachers from Cooper Perry primary school in Stafford, UK, led by head teacher Steve Hall, has visited San Anton School, whose Grade 7 is twinned with it.

"This is the fifth year of our twinning agreement, and the benefits reaped by both students and teachers is remarkable as it gives us a platform from where to exchange ideas and teaching methods," commented Isabelle Depasquale, a Grade 7 teacher, and the project’s coordinator.

As part of its cultural ethos, San Anton School has a range of links with other schools both locally and internationally that enhance and enrich the students’ curriculum.

Through the twinning San Anton School students are given the opportunity each year to visit the UK on study visits and exchange programmes, and thus communicate with children from a different culture.

As part of their seven-day visit in Malta, the students and teachers were shown round the school and attended various classes. Maltese and English students got to know each other while touring the Island on a cultural sightseeing programme which included a visit to Palazzo Parisio in Naxxar and Gozo.

San Anton School at L-Imselliet is an independent, co-educational school, catering for the education of over 900 students aged 3 to 16, from Kindergarten right through to secondary level.
